East Face

08/08/2008, originally uploaded by Ian Mulvany.

The holes on the face are from the boring during the quarrying, This is quite reminiscent of features in many climbing areas located in quarries, and in particular the place that I cut my teeth climbing, Dalkey Quarry.

hi Ian
haven`t been back to the shoreditch boulder for a couple of days now - still mad busy trying to bring the whole project to completion... state of play: both boulders should be landscaped in by the end of next week - I say this whilst fully aware that all my previous predictions have been wrong! There will still be some minor filling/repair jobs but that won`t affect climbing at this stage. The comps will hopefully happen on the weekend of the 6th and 7th sept, weather permitting. Probably mabley on the sat, shoreditch sunday. I`ll do a big emailout when this is confirmed, but cross your fingers...
The film of the project if anyone is interested will be shown at PEER, 99 hoxton street from the 5th sept.
Regarding the grades, I`m pretty crap at this but I think you`re probably right about the two easier probs, whereas the highgate shake - I think the start from the left is about the same, but if you go straight up the middle, then definitely harder - english 6a at least ha ha see you down there
